Happy Earth Day!

Journal Entry: Tue Apr 22, 2008, 6:15 PM
I must say happy Earth Day to everyone here on DA. I went for a walk this evening just to see the sun set over a pond, and how beautiful it was (I even saw a beaver!). :)
I did get a picture just for this day, which I shall put up shortly. :D It's coloured!

I would like to thank :iconqtwendy: for featuring my Derelict Farmstead Series No.5 photo. It means so very much to me and I must say that people should vist her gallery. :)

I'm going to put up a few more pictures from the Derelict Series soon, but I have cut some of the series out because I think the photos are just not good enough.

I would also like to thank everyone who has viewed, commented, and favorited that Derelict Farmstead Series No.5 photo. :) It means a lot.

Ah, true. If you find happiness a meaning, then certainly. And I think believing there is a meaning can bring happiness for many people, and really meaning is just what we give something. An object really doesn't have meaning in the way we percieve it to unless we give some meaning to it. What is a round object? If we throw it, its meaning is a ball, if we live upon it, its meaning is a planet... So life has meaning if we think it does.

No problem, I love fanboys. :)

Yeah, I guess you are right... But couldn't you say that living a happy live is living a life with meaning. If you find meaning in happiness and you are happy, then your life has meaning.

Thanks for the favorite on my fanboys art :D

Interesting quote there... though I honestly don't think there really is a meaning of life as we might perceive it, or at least it doesn't matter if there is. Honestly, the universe is both vast and finite, meaning we are only a speck upon existence as a whole, and even existence as a whole will eventually come to an end, possibly even at the molecular level, so the only meaning to life is that we are a bunch of molecules that miraculously formed together to produce a self-replicating system of higher structure, under the input of energy from our nearest star. So given how unimportant life's meaning is to our existence, and the fact that knowing that our existence is finite doesn't change the way we feel about events in our lives, the only conclusion I can come to is live whatever way you want to that will make you happy, and don't think about it too much.

Take that, mr. Author Unknown! =O
